On December 13 to 16, 2024, Emerging Islands partnered with queer production collective Elephant Party, to host a four-day queer festival in San Juan, La Union.
The festival hosted performances and activities including:
performances by drag queens from Manila and La Unionan artist talk featuring trans and queer artists from various creative disciplinesa queer rave at the site of Mebuyan’s Vessel and a screening of the films Baradiya (by Gab Mejia, David Loughran, Miko Reyes and Datu Arayan), Rampage! (by Kuki Zinampan) and EX Nilalang (by Justin Shoulder and Bhenji Ra)
